Born on June 10, 1926, Padma Shri holder Mr. Jatindra Nath Chaudhry has chartered a long route of successes and still continues to do so. This Former Indian Ambassador has many credits to his life. He helped draft the first Passport Manual of India in Ministry of External Affairs. He was also India's first Envoy to Vietnam in 1950. On his transfer to Delhi, he was appointed as Parliamentary Officer to former Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. After retiring from the Indian Foreign Service he took up work assignments as Director of Hindalco and as Secretary General, Indian Woollen Mills Federation.

In 1965, he became the first Executive Director of Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (an association constituting all major pharmaceutical companies nationally & internationally).

Mr. Chaudhry, has done pioneering work in the field of Neurosciences & is instrumental in establishing VIMHANS, which he heads today as Chairman, a Super Speciality Charitable Hospital in Delhi. Mr. Chaudhry has received many awards and honours including the Shiromani Award, Vijay Shree Award, Lions Awards in India & the USA, Medal of Merit & Certificate of Honour from the Govt. of Algeria & the Amity Golden Award for pioneering work in the area of Neurosciences.

At 84, he continues to work with zest and spirit.
